Privacy Policy

This policy explains what ChainRace ("the app," "we," "us") collects, why, and the choices you have. ChainRace is published by Romeoz Apps. By using the app you agree to this policy.

Short version: we only collect what the game needs to run — your username and gameplay data. We don't sell your data, we don't run ads, and you can delete your account and its data from inside the app at any time.

Information we collect

Account information

Username. The display name you choose so friends can find and challenge you.
Sign in with Apple (optional). If you sign in with Apple, Apple gives us a unique identifier for your account. You may also choose to share your name and email; if you hide your email, Apple provides a private relay address. We use this only to sign you in and keep your account across devices.
Guest play. You can play as a guest without signing in. A guest account is anonymous and tied to your device only.

Gameplay information

Your wins, losses, and current/past matches.
Your friends list and challenges you send or receive.
A "last active" timestamp used to show whether a player is currently online.

Information we do not collect

We don't request your contacts, photos, location, or microphone.
We don't include third-party advertising, and we don't sell or rent your information.

How we use information

To create your account and sign you in.
To run the game — track progress, decide the winner of a duel, and keep your win/loss record.
To let friends find you by username and play with you.
To keep your username, stats, and friends consistent across the devices you sign in on.
To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

How information is stored and shared

ChainRace stores data using Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore), which acts as our data processor. Your information is held on Google's infrastructure and handled under Google's security practices. Sign in with Apple is provided by Apple. We share information with these providers only as needed to operate the app.

Other players can see your username, whether you're online, and your progress within a match you're playing together. They cannot see your email or account identifiers.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.

Your choices and rights

Delete your account. In the app, go to Profile → Manage Account → Delete Account. This removes your profile, username, wins/losses, friends, and pending challenges. See the account deletion page for details.
Play as a guest. Skip Sign in with Apple to keep your account anonymous and on-device.
Access or corrections. Contact us and we'll help with reasonable requests to access or correct your information.

Data retention

We keep your account information while your account exists. When you delete your account, the associated data is removed from our active database. Backups or logs, if any, are cycled out in the normal course of operations.

Children's privacy

ChainRace is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We rely on industry-standard measures provided by Apple and Google, including encrypted connections and access-controlled storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
